The main focus of our research is to delineate the underlying molecular mechanisms by which type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance develop in obesity. We are dedicated to understanding the insulin signaling pathways and identifying key metabolic molecules that determines the cell's fate and leads to pathophysiology in obesity. The goal of our research is to identify a therapeutic target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
