Globecomm is the flagship conference in IEEE communication society. This conference covers virtually all communication technology for future land/mobile/satellite communication systems.
Following are some technical sessions available in Globecom2000
*BROADBAND WIRELESS SYMPOSIUM
*COMMUNICATION THEORY SYMPOSIUM
*EXECUTIVE BUSINESS SESSIONS
*GENERAL TOPICS
*GLOBAL INTERNET SYMPOSIUM
*HIGH SPEED NETWORKS SYMPOSIUM
*IPV6 WORKSHOP
Note that more than 1,000 papers were submitted, however only 300 papers were accepted for publication due to its high competition.I have submitted one paper on WCDMA-TDD channel estimation and it was accepted for presentation.
I work for NEC child company in UK doing research on smart antennas for commercial product for NTT DoCoMo. I have also participated in 3GPP TSG RAN WG1 in which we develop global standard for IMT-2000.
In this conference following companies are of particular involved.
Ericsson, Nokia, Lucent Technology, AT&T, Siemens, NEC, Samsung(?), Cisco.
They are now competiting each other for next generation, I mean, 4th generation technology which will be available after 2010.
