매년 유럽지역에서 열리는 계산화공 또는 화학공정에관한 이학회 (ESCQPE12)는 내년 2002년 5월 26-29 4일동안 네덜란드 헤이그시에서 열린다. 주로 화학공학/유체역학/계산공학에서 공정관련 유럽지역 과학자들이 참석을 많이 하지만, 전세계적으로 각지역에서 많은 사람들이 참석한다.
2000년 부터, 세번째로 참석할 예정인 본인은 이학회에 논문이 수락되었다. 다양하게 연구되고 앞서가는 기술및 이론등을 이학회를 통하여 얻고, KOSEN을 통하여 학회참석보고서를 2001년 ESCAPE11에 이어서 좀더 세련된 감각으로 작성하고자 한다.
본학회에 대한 개관은 다음과 같다....

Five technical themes will deal with innovative industrial applications, issues emerging from scientific developments or changes in society and integration aspects between any of these themes. Reports on industrial case studies with CAPE applications are particularly welcome.
1. Integrated Product and Process design: Structured products, Life Science Products, Multi-product plants, Supporting CAPE tools
2. Process Synthesis / Plant Design: Fundamental synthesis methods and tools, Process Intensification applications, Micro technology systems, Distributed manufacturing systems, Integration of process design and control, Sustainability and life span issues
3. Process Dynamics and Control: Uncertainty, flexibility and operability, Dynamic modes of operations, Control of non linear / distributed units, Integration of control with RT Optimisation
4. Manufacturing and Process Operations : Performance monitoring and MSPC, Reliability, availability and safety, Supply chain optimisation, Production scheduling and planning, Integration in industrial ecological systems
5. Computational Technologies : Data mining, Multi-scale modelling and simulation, Stochastic modelling, Optimisation techniques, Agent based modelling techniques
