The range of topics covered is extremely broad, including control education, rapidly-developing areas such modeling and control of manufacturing systems and communication networks; evolving areas such as discrete event systems, hybrid systems, optimal control and optimization, adaptive control, linear and nonlinear system analysis and control, estimation and identification, infinite-dimensional systems, and stochastic methods; and applications including financial decision making, fault detection, aerospace, power, fluid control, and mechanical systems.
