GPEN 학회는 1996년 University of Kansas, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry에서 설립된 학회로 약제학과 관련하여 국제 과학교류를 장려하고, 글로벌 제약사 및 바이오테크놀러지 회사에 적합한 우수 대학원생을 양성하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
개인 회원이 아닌, 약학대학이 50개의 기관회원으로 활동하며 2년마다 전세계에서 학회를 개최하며, 준비, 운영 및 진행 모두 순수하게 대학원생들에 의해 이뤄지므로 학생들의 참여도를 높일 수 있는 학회이다.

보고서작성신청
GPEN이라는 학회를 소개하고, 약제학 및 약물송달학 분야의 최신동향을 전달할 수 있는 계기가 될 것이다. 저명한 학자들에 의해 다음과 같은 short course가 진행될 예정이며, 그외 학생들의 다양한 아이디어를 oral presentation을 중심으로 소개할 예정이다.
1. Targeted therapeutics: Protein and peptide drug conjugates
2. Nucleic acid and gene delivery
3. Drug metabolism and metabolomics
4. Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling
5. Transporters in drug delivery: selected barriers (e.g. blood-brain barrier, blood-retina-barrier, intestinal barrier)
6. Modern approaches of nanotechnology
7. New emerging cell models (e.g. stem cells, 3D cells)
8. Epigenetics and pharmacogenomics in personalized medicine
