MNE는 마이크로 나노 엔지니어링을 주제로 하는 국제 학회로 1975년부터 매년 9월에 개최되어 왔으며 올해는 40주년이 되는 해이다. 본 학회는 마이크로 나노 구조와 소자의 제작과 응용을 아우르는 자리로 세계 각지의 연구자들과 엔지니어들이 참석해 왔으며 전자, 자기, 광학, 기전, 환경, 생명 공학분야의 응용에 대해 토론하는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것이다. 1975년 캠브리지에서 시작된 본 학회는 최근 Athens (2008), Ghent (2009), Genoa (2010), Berlin (2011), Toulouse (2012), London (2013) 등에서 개최되어 왔으며 2014년도에는 스위스의 로쟌에 위치한 스위스 연방 공대(EPFL)에서 열릴 예정으로 800명 정도의 참석자가 예상된다.

MNE(Micro Nano Engineering) Conference는 마이크로/나노 구조 및 소자의 제작과 전자, 광학, 기전, 환경, 생명 분야에서의 응용에 대한 최신 동향을 파악할 수 있는 국제 학술 대회이다. 본 학술대회 논문 발표를 하게 되어 참여를 하게 되었으며 학회 참석을 통해 다음과 같은 마이크로/나노 기술과 응용 분야에 대한 기술 동향을 수집하고자 합니다.
