2015 AMIA Summit on Clinical Research Informatics 는 의료정보학 분야에서 최고 권위를 자랑하는 행사로서 Translational Bioinformatics, Clinical Research Informatics, Clinical Informatics Consumer Health Informatics, Public Health Informatics 등 5개 분야에 초점을 두고 있습니다. 미국의료정보협회(American Medical Informatics Association) 주관으로 2010년에 처음으로 시작된 이래 올해 여섯번째를 맞이하고 있으며, 올해는 3월 25일부터 27일까지 총 2박 3일동안 미국 캘리포니아 샌프란시스코에 위치한 Parc 55 Hotel San Francisco에서 열립니다.

의료정보학 분야는 IT기술을 바탕으로 전세계적으로 급속하게 성장하고 있는 분야 중 하나입니다. 최근에는 사물인터넷 기술, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅, 모바일 헬스, 빅데이터, 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용 등 IT기술들이 생물정보학, 임상의료정보학, 소비자건강정보학, 보건의료정보학 등 의료정보학 분야에 접목되고 있습니다. 저는 이번 2015 AMIA Summit on Clinical Research Informatics 에 참석하여 의료정보학 분야에서 최신 이슈들과 IT기술이 접목된 최신 의료정보 기술을 파악하고자 합니다. 이를 바탕으로 최신 연구 동향과 향후 연구 방향을 파악하고 공유하고자 보고서 작성을 신청하게 되었습니다.
