US-Korea Conference (UKC) is the flagship conference of Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). It is the biggest US-Korea conference that covers science, engineering, technology, industry, entrepreneurship, and leadership. UKC attracts more than 1200 participants from both US and Korea. We planned for a maximum of 1500 participants this year.

UKC is a conference that facilitates US-Korea cooperation on recent developments in science, engineering, technology, industry, and entrepreneurship. It also has a leadership program for young students and professionals.

UKC has a long history. It started as a moderate KSEA Symposium in 1974. It grew into the US-Korea Science & Technology Forum/Symposium in 1993 and expanded further to the US-Korea Conference (UKC) in 1999. The tradition continues today as UKC 2015.

UKC 국제학술대회는 재미 한인 과학기술자들이 1993년부터 본격적으로 시작하여 매년 여름에 미국에서 열리는 거대한 학술행사입니다. UKC 국제학술대회는 자연과학과 공학을 포함한 여러 분야의 900여편의 논문을 13개 프로그램으로 나뉘어 구도 발표와 포스터 발표로 진행됩니다. UKC 국제학술대회는 주로 미국과 한국에서 1200여 명이 참석하지만, 캐나다를 포함한 다른 나라에 거주하는 한인들도 참석합니다. 논문 채택률을 정확히 알 수 없지만, 대략 90%가 넘을 것 같습니다.

UKC 국제학술대회는 매년 미국에서 개최되는 거대한 모임으로서 자연과학과 공학의 전분야의 최근 연구 결과를 발표하고 논의하는 매우 중요한 학술행사입니다. 본인은 작년에 이 학술행사에 처음으로 참석하여 논문도 발표하고 많은 재미과학자들을 만나 연구에 필요한 최신 연구 동향과 정보를 접했습니다. 한국에서도 이 모임에 참석하는 사람들이 해마다 늘고 있지만, 아직도 잘 모르는 사람들이 먾은 것 같아서, UKC 국제학술대회 참가보고서를 통해 이 학술행사를 국내의 여러 전문가들에게 널리 알려주고 싶습니다.
