International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies(ICMAT)는 1999년 설립된 The Materials Research Society of Singapore(MRS-S)가 주관하여 매 2년마다 정기적으로 개최되며 올해로 8회차를 맞는 학회입니다. 재료과학 및 재료공학을 널리 아우르는 다양한 심포지엄이 열리며, 지난 2013년도 학회에서는 55개국에서 모인 전세계 연구자들이 연구에 대한 발표와 토론이 이루어진 대규모 학회입니다.
이번 학회에서는 6개의 큰 주제아래 30개 이상의 심포지엄과 전시회로 구성되어 있으며, 자세한 사항은 다음과 같습니다.

본인은 현재 화학과에서 박사과정 수료후 연구생이며, 무기화학을 전공하고 있습니다. 특히 유기금속 나노입자의 합성 및 촉매 응용에 관해 연구하고 있습니다.
ICMAT2015에서 본인이 소속된 연구실의 연구 결과를 "Novel Materials in Heterogeneous Catalysis" 심포지엄에서 포스터 발표를 할 예정이며, 특히 "NANOMATERIALS AND DEVICES"와 "FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS"를 주제로 열리는 여러 심포지엄에 참석하여 나노재료와 기능성재료 분야의 최신 연구 동향을 파악하고자 합니다.
