비정질 실리콘과 그 합금들을 이용한 박막 실리콘 태양 전지 기술의 최근의 성과과 기술적인 도전에 관한 것이다.
여기에서는 높은 품질의 흡수체를 만들기 위해 이용한 플라즈마 증착 기술과 실리콘 terafluoride를 기반으로한 흡수층, 계면과 구조의 최적화, 텍스쳐 기판을 이용한 태양광 흡수 향상 등에 대해서 다루고 있다.
