중국은 도시화와 생활수준 향상으로 도시에서 발생하는 고체 쓰레기가 증가하고 있다. 이런 쓰레기를 소각하여 발생하는 에너지를 사용하는 WTE 방법은 소각의 유해성을 줄이며 고체 쓰레기 재사용을 증진시키는 기술이다. 본 보고서는 중국의 WTE 공장에 대해 정책, 경제, 사회 기술적 관점과 기술, 비용, 성능적인 면에서 접근하여 제시하고 있다.
