미생물 전기분해전지(Microbial electrolysis cells, MECs)는 미생물을 이용하여 유기물질로부터 전기화학적 수소를 생산한다. 본 문헌에서는 MEC 성능을 높이기 위한 미생물 특성, 반응메커니즘, 공정 변수 등을 요약하고, 현재까지 발표된 연구결과들을 정리하고 있다. 따라서, 본 문헌은 KOSEN 전문가 분석을 통해 연료전지 분야의 연구자에게 소개된다면 매우 유익한 자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.
