대사체학 (Metabolomics)은 세포, 조직, 생명체에서 작ㅇ느 분자 대사체들의 생리적인 특징 및 역할에 관해서 다루는 분야이고고, 이 분야는 약 20여년동안 급속한 기술적 진화를 이루었다.
이런 진전은 심혈관 질환을 치료하고자 하는 바이오 마커를 동정하는 데 있어서 대사체학을 적용하게 하였고, 점점 병리/생리적인 기전에 대한 질환을 이해하는 청사진을 제공하고 있다. 이에 본 분석물에서는 최근 대사체학에서의 성과와 향후 미래의 도전에 대해서 다루기에 분석의 의의가 있다.
