정수처리에 UF를 적용할 때 분리막의 오염을 저감하기 위해 일반적으로 전처리로 혼화/응집을 주로 이용한다. 본 논문은 혼화/응집과 함께 UV를 적용했을 때 막오염의 저감 효과를 관찰하였다.
정수처리에 UF의 적용을 위해서는 막오염을 최소화하여 연속운전을 길게 가져갈 수록 세정을 빈도를 감소시켜 운영이 편리해지고 약품비도 절감할 수 있다. 이러한 측면에서 본 논문은 현장에서 막여과 정수시설을 운영하는 운전자 및 막여과 정수처리 공정을 개발하고 있는 연구자들에게 도움이 될 것으로 생각되어 추천한다.
