PRC2의 구성체인 EH2는, 다양한 암의 발전 및 유지에 관련된 것으로 지난 몇년간 관심있게 연구되어왔고 임상에서 특이 EZH2 억제제가 시도되기도 하였다. 한편, 몇몇 연구들에서는 이 PRC2가 암화뿐만 아니라 암을 억제하는 기능을 갖는 것을 밝히고 있다. 본 분석물은 암에서 보여지는 PRC2의 상이한 역할을 보여주고 있다.
