본 분석물은 태양열 담수화 장치를 소규모는 실제 적용가능한 직접적인 방법으로 중대규모는 간접 적인 방법으로 접근하였다. 저비용의 태양열 증류기를 사용하게 되면 가정이나 섬, 해안가 지역에서는 바로 사용이 가능하다는 이점이 있다.
