EMBC는 국제전기전자공학회(IEEE) 산하의 의생명공학회로써 의공학 분야에서 가장 큰 규모를 갖는 학회 중 하나입니다. EMBC의 경우 해마다 번갈아가며 미국에서 한번, 다른 지역에서 한번 열리는데 올해는 제주도에서 열리게 됩니다. 초청연사도 해회학회에 걸맞게 미국 내 유명 과학자, 교수부터 지리적 이점으로부터 중국, 일본, 한국의 유명 교수 및 연구자 들의 발표가 예정되어 있습니다.

다음학기를 끝으로 박사과정을 졸업하게 되는데, 이번 학회에 대한 보고서를 작성하면서 지금까지 연구해왔던 의공학분야를 정리하고 돌아보는 동시에, 논문 발표 및 연구 교류를 통한 앞으로의 계획을 세우는 데에도 좋은 기회가 될 것이라 생각합니다.
또한 기계공학과의 마이크로/나노 구조물 및 국소약물전달 및 체내진단센서 연구 베이스를 바탕으로 폭넓게 학회 보고서를 작성하도록 하겠습니다.
