암치료를 위한 방사선치료에서 금나노재료의 모양효과는 완벽하게 설명되어지지 않았다. 이 문제를 다루기위하여 50nm 이하의 spherical gold nanoparticle, gold anospikes, gold nanorods와 같은 다양한 모양을 가지는 금나노입자들은 제작되었다. 이러한 나노입자들에 대한 연구결과는 암치료의 방사선치료에서 금나노입자의 사용과 제작에 대한 중요한 가이드라인을 제공해줄것이다.
