* Enzyme Design Department
Enzyme Design is a department within Molecular Biotechnology in Enzyme Business, Novo Nordis A/S. The department is mainly responsible for development and implementation of rationa and random approaches to protein-improvements. This includes site-directed/random DNA mutagenesis, directed evolution, structural analyses and molecular modeling/simulations. The department is located just outside of Copenhagen, at Novo Nordisk headquarters.
* Project
The main research tasks are centered on improving and optimizing the bioactivity of selected antimicrobial peptides, and will be performed in close collaboration with leading European scientific and medical specialists in the field of infections diseases and antimicrobials.
* Qualifications
Preferentially qualified to Ph.D. level in a relevant research or medical discipline, the successful candidate will have some prior research experience within various aspects of infectious diseases, antibiotics, antimicrobial peptides, or pharmaceutical peptides. In addition, a thorough understanding of peptide handling and characterization, and practical experience with recombinant gene expression technologies in various organisms will be highly appreciated.
