Within the framework of its ?ergie, Mat?iaux et T??ommunications centre's strategic research programs, the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) invites applications to fill a professor-researcher position.
This is a tenure-track position within in an environment where over thirty professor-researchers are currently working on research and state-of-the-art teaching and training programs in energy, material and telecommunications fields.
FUNCTIONS
Develop, in the framework of a multidisciplinary research program with focus on wireless communication systems, innovative research activities encompassing the design, manufacturing and characterization of components (receivers-transmitters) operating in the RF band (micro-waves and millimetric waves) such as wave-generators, filters, couplers, and phase-shifters.
Secure financing through external funding with various partners with the assistance of the Institut.
Participate in graduate teaching activities, both at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels, as well as supervise graduate students and research personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ph.D. in an appropriate field. Postdoctoral experience would be considered an asset.
- Scientific production demonstrating the capability to carry out independent research.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and within research networks.
- Aptitudes for teaching and supervision of graduate students.
- Entrepreneurial skills and proven ability to secure external funding.

WORKING LANGUAGE
The working language is French. Knowledge of English is essential.
SALARY
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the current collective agreement at INRS.
