<해외고급과학두뇌초빙> Positions Open for Scientists and Engineers (Korean Brain Pool Program in 2001) The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies(KOFST) invites the outstanding scientists and engineers from overseas to work in various research institutes in Korea. ◈ Fields All Fields of Science and Technology - Pure Science Fields (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Instrumentation, Standards, Astronomy, etc.) - Mechanical and Material Sciences Fields (Mechanics, Naval Architecture Aerospace, Aviation, Polymers, Metals, Inorganic Materials etc.) - Electricity, Electronics, Information/Communications Fields (Electricity, Power, Electronics, Computer, Communications, Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, etc.) - Chemical Engineering, Bioscience Fields (Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Agriculture, Fishery, Medicine, Health, etc.) - Resources, Ocean Fields (Resources, Ocean, Environment, Civil/Construction, etc.) - Energy Fields (Atomic Energy, etc.) ◈ Number of Open Approximately 00 ◈ Requirements Doctoral degree holder ; more than 5 years overseas experiences in R&D post-doctoral ; All nationalities(except Russia and Eastern Europe) are invited. Regardless of his/her degree, outstanding overseas Korean or foreign scientists/engineers who have proven achievements and in-depth experiences for more than 5 years in his/her field(s). ◈ Invitation Period From 3 months to 2 years (If necessary, less than 3 months is acceptable). Invitation period may be extended. ◈ Financial Support Visiting expenses are paid monthly, in addition round trip airplane tickets and moving expenses will be reimbursed at the beginning of the term. ◈ Host Organizations Government Financed Research Center (Institution). National/Public Research Center (Institution). University or University Research Center. Non-Profit Corporate Foundation Research Center. Industrial Research Center. ◈ Tasks Joint R&D projects as requested by the host organizations in Korea. Joint R&D projects with new or existing research/development teams. Special lectures, seminars, conferences, etc. ◈ Application Period July 16, 2001 through September 15, 2001 ◈ Document to be Submitted : 3 completed application forms ◈ Application Forms Distribution and Address to Send - Refer attached file. ◈ Others The list of research subjects proposed by the host organizations and where the invited scientists/engineers are to work can be found at regional Associations (KSEA, AKCSE, KSEAU, ASCoF, VeKNI, KOSEA, KOSEA-J, KSEAC, KASTA) offices and Internet Homepage(http://www.kofst.or.kr). The title of the research subject(s) with its serial number should be specified on the completed application form.
