An analysis of business acquisition activity by firm size and industry.
Mergers and Acquisitions in the United States, 1990-1994 uses the newly available Longitudinal Enterprise and Establishment microdata(LEEM) file to provide an overview of the frequency and impact of mergers and acquisitions by industry and firm size. Advocacy developed the LEEM file in cooperation with the Center for Economic Studies at the U.S. Census Bureau. This analysis examines various characteristics of the firms that were the sources of the acquired estabilishments, the acquired establishments themselves, and the acquiring firms.
