Dicke-Fix Receiver : A receiver designed to operate against wide band jamming. Because of its CFAR characteristics, it is invaluable in a barrage jamming environment. It is characterized by a wide band (10 MHz) amplifier feeding into a wide band (10 MHz) hard limiter, followed by a narrow band (1 MHz) amplifier. CFAR : Also commonly called False Alarm Rate (FAR). A receiver technique that varies the detection threshold level (sensitivity) as the noise or clutter level varies to maintain a constant false alarm probability.
