Most power train cooling and air conditioing companies developed their own 1D simulation code to minimize heat exchanger design turn around time and maximize productivity. There are also commercial codes available to simulate power train cooling systems and design heat exchanger sizes. Most coomon 1D commercial codes are Flowmaster and KULI.
