- University College London (UCL) was founded in 1826 as the original University of London. It is now the oldest and largest College of the University of London. It is the first university institution in England to be founded after Oxford and Cambridge. It is ranked consistently by the HEFCE as being in the top group of three with Oxford and Cambridge among multifaculty universities for research. The UCL Korean Society was founded in late eighties, formed by Korean students studying at UCL as an informal group to help each other in the UK. The Korean Society has grown in strength through the years, and currently has more than 60 members.
