Greetings Dear Students, I sincerely welcome all of you to Korean Student Association at UB site. Korean Student Association exists so that Korean-American students and those who are interested in Korean culture can benefit from it. There are many other campus groups that might fulfill your particular interest in many other areas such as sports, religion and social. KSA is dedicated to the cause of Korean students and those who are interested in Korean heritage. KSA offers many activities and events that bring people together. In the past I have seen many people come together despite their differences, bringing unity amongst the University at Buffalo Korean community. Being a KSA member can be a very enjoyable experience. Through out the year, we hold many activitiees and events that spark common interests in many different people. By taking advantage of these events and activities, we hope that you will be able to meet other students and learn more about Korean culture. KSA also gives awareness to our identity. We, unlike many others, face many cultural, economical, political problems and dilemmas being uprooted from Korea to United States. These problems might not be unique just to Koreans. In fact many other ethnic groups have faced similar problems as well. However, we distinguish ourselves, given the different cultural background. I hope to address such issues and in the proceess of doing so, I hope that all of us can acquire some perspective and insights as to who we are and where we come from. Thank you. Sincerely Yours, Min Suk Kim 1999-2000 President mailto:davidkim@acsu.buffalo.edu
