- As the president of this year's Imperial College Korean Society (ICKS), I would like to welcome you to our official Web Page. Please feel free to explore those pages to meet the members of our society, see the events we organise and access the ICKS news. Since its founding, ICKS has been a unique society in which each member has actively contributed to the creation of a friendly atmosphere that is often thought essential for those Koreans studying abroad. As you browse through our web pages, you will realise that ICKS is a society that places a great emphasis on the unity among its members. Our objective is to play an active role in providing Korean students with an environment that can enhance both their academic and social lives as well as widening their views towards the future. This year, a few changes have been implemented for a better management of our society. An official Committee (including various officers) was formed as well as the post of the vice-president so that the society can be run in a more structured fashion. The efficiency of the official committee has already been shown in the success we've had with various annual events such as M.T. (Membership Training), Christmas party and Imperial College's International Night. Also, we are now building an alumni page, trying to reach our alumni all over the world. We hope to get in touch with our "senior members" and welcome any suggestions they might have. I sincerely hope that these pages helps you to know us better and understand why the ICKS is so unique amongst Korean societies in various learning institutes all over the world. ICKS President Jou-Yong Kim Imperial College Korean Society(ICKS) consists of 27 Undergraduates and 38 Postgraduates registered Students. Exceptionally strong mutual relationship, not seen in any other Colleges, between members of ICKS is already well known i.e. we are famous. "=O The society illuminates any functional handicap as oversea students over the Universities in Korea. Annual events involving ICKS are; Freshers welcome meeting Graduates farewell party M.T. Univ. of London Sports Day Christmas Party International Cultural Night (ICU) Picnics extra...extra.. We all feel, do and think so uniquely Korean that we often confuse Imperial for one of the Korean University.
