- The Korean Graduate Students' Association at the University of Alberta (KGSA) is a non-profit organization, which has officially been registered at the University of Alberta since 1999. The purpose of our group is to promote interaction between Korean students in the U. and to provide orientation to incoming Korean (including students, visiting scholors, researchers and postdoc fellows) and their family. The University of Alberta is located in Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta. The University has been recognized nationally and internationally as one of the best universities in Canada. The KGSA is building a cultural and educational bridge between Korea, our spiritual homeland, and Canada, our fertile land. The number of Korean graduate students in the U of A is over 40 in 2005 and is currently increasing. We believe the KGSA can always be a useful community for Korean students and their family and we are trying to become a useful source for the newcomers who have an affiliation with the U of A. We hope many people can get useful information through our community and our website and we could see much more Korean here in Edmonton.
