The aim of Neural Engineering Laboratory is to contribute to the technological development in Neuron-on-a-Chip technology for neurobiology and neuroscience. Especially, we are interested in learning how to design structured live neural networks resembling real brain tissues such as hippocampal circuits or cortical layers. Main research tools are primary neural tissue culture techniques, MEMS, surface micropatterning, bioinstrumentation, and neural signal processing.
