Environment Systems Engineering (ESE) is defined as being concerned with the development of methodsand
computerbased tools for an integrated approach to all aspects of modeling, simulation, design, operation, control and management for environmental processes incl uding water/wastewater treatment, air pollution control, bioremediation and sustainable bioenergy production.
This is a highly interdisciplinary area where complementary knowledge from different disciplines is put togetherfrom environment engineering and chemical engineering to applied mathematics and basic sciences (physics, chemistry, microbiology).
Our Environment Systems Engineering Laboratory (ESEL) at
Kyungpook National University recognizes has now been working on environmental
& energy problems concerning process model-ing and identification,
optimization, monitoring, and control both at laboratory and industrial
scale. Much attention has been given in recent years
to model based methodologies for on-line state estimation, process monitoring
and process optimization. Also, we are currently concentrating our efforts in
developing a highly efficient biological system producing hydrogen from organic
wastes.
If you have any questions, suggestions and/or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are very eager to discuss with scientists and engineers from all over the world regarding any subjects as long as related to science and technology and eventually for our sustainable environment.
