RCBM is a multidisciplinary research group aimed to do research on biomaterials design, development, characterization, material evaluation and its biocompatibility and response in biological environment. The group has a workforce of 20 in total. Prof. Byong Taek Lee supervises the materials design, fabrication and evaluation where as Prof. Ho Yeon Song supervises the biocompatibility and biological response of the materials. The group focuses on the fusion technology of Nano-Technology and Bio-Technology (NT-BT) and is developing a range of systems for application including bone substitutes, bio-resorbable bone plates, artificial bone, artificial blood vessel, artificial kidney etc. Most of them are based on some unique technology developed in our lab during the previous years. Nonetheless, as a continuation of our previous work we are also working alongside on environmental filter and energy materials like Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Hot Gas Filtration (HGF), Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC)
