The Laboratory for Energy Systems Engineering (LENSE) in the Department ofChemical and Biomolecular Engineering at KAIST is established to conduct research in the field of energy systems, in order to help meet these challenges. The LENSE conducts research in both renewable energy technologies (e.g., biofuels) and energy efficiency improvement. It also addresses important policy questions and develops quantitative analysis methods in regard to carbon footprints.
