We are very much interested in designing and making
new nanoscale molecules and materials through synthesis and/or assembly. A wide
range of nanoscale structures found in nature are highly correlated with
functionalities. Biological diversity and natural selection processes play a
critically important role in the morphogenesis and optimization (or adaptation).
We identify key molecules and processes, re-create and engineer nanoscale
structures, and utilize them for practically important technologies.
