BiNEL stands for BioPhotonics and Nanoengineering Laboratory. As you can guess from the name, we are covering wide range of spectrum in traditional research fields. BiNEL has three core technological basis : Nanofabrication, photonics and BioMEMS. Rather than specifying a certain research topics, our mission is to deliver various technological innovations based on firm understanding of these cores. Members of BiNEL are supposed to work on all of these core areas in order to deliver a solution to a real world problem or an intriguing example of creativity.
Most important value in BiNEL is creativity. Creating new thing gets harder and therefore its value gets higher. One of the most convenient ways to create new thing is to mix up different fields. Mutidisciplinary research is emphasized in BiNEL to be able to invent.
