- RF MEMS refers to micromachined RF components capable of low-loss filtering, switching, and frequency generation with the intent to miniaturize wireless system. Applications of RF MEMS include all types of wireless communications, radar, satellites, military radio, instrumentation, and so on. RF MEMS offer significant benefits comparing to conventional RF components, such as lower power consumption, lower insertion loss, lower cost and smaller form factor
