Chemical modification of carbon-based materials such as fullerene (C60), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphite, graphene and nanodiamonds. In addition, the rest of research areas mainly involve molecular designs and synthesis for specialty polymers produced by means of polycondensation techniques. Having 20 years + experiences on these fields would provide broad scope of intuitive eyes and chemical skills. The detailed field of experiences and interests are as followings: Chemical Modification of Fullerene (C60), Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs), Graphite, Graphene and Nanodiamonds (Highlighted in NATURE Asia Materials).
Synthesisand Characterization of Highly Conjugated Polymeric Materials for Energy Conversion. In Situ Polymerization of High Performance Polymers with Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) Chemical Modification of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube (MWNT)-Hairy Tube Synthesis Synthesisof Dendritic Polymers (Hyperbranched Polymers and Dendrimers) High Performance Polymer Synthesis [Polyimides (PIs), Polyphenylquinoxalines (PPQs), Polybenzoxazoles (PBOs), Polybenzothiazoles (PBZTs),Polybenzimidazoles (PBIs), etc] Synthesisof Polymers for Opto-Electronic Materials (LEDs, LCs, Conductive Materials, Photovoltaic Materials, and Fuel Cell Materials) In order to carry out above areas of interests following experiences of organic syntheses are essential: Electrophilic Substitution Reaction (Friedel-Crafts Acylation) in Non-Humic Acids Developmentof Monomers Synthesis for Conjugated and High Performance Polymers. Developmentof Monomers for High Performance Hyperbranched Polymersand Dendrimers. Developmentof Monomers Synthesis for Specialty Polymers, such as Optical Materials, Self-Assembly Materials, and Hairy-Rod Type Materials for Liquid Crystal Alignment etc. Monomer Synthesis for Liquid Crystalline Polymers. Developmentof Monomers for Water Soluble Polymers.
