Our laboratory focuses on understanding the physiological roles of transient receptor potential channels in gastrointestinal motilities, calcium homeostasis, cerebellar motor functions, and muscarinic regulation of physiological functions. We published papers on TRPC4/5 as molecular candidates for acetylcholine-activated nonselective cation channels, TRPV6 as main calcium entry pathway for epithelial cells, TRPM7 as a pacemaker ion channels in interstitial cells of Cajal, TRPML as a main regulator of lysosomal pH. In the future, the main research subjects will be TRP channel- proteins interactions, the role of TRP channels in carcinogenesis, transcriptional regulation of TRP channels.
