Research Topic : 1. Cathode Materials for Lithium and Sodium Ion Batteries: Various frameworks have been investigated toward next generation LIB and SIB cathodes. The materials (structures) include pyrophosphate, NASICON, spinel, olivine, layered, sulfur, etc. 2. High Capacity Si Anodes for LIBs: We have not only pursued profound understanding of volume expansion of Si but also demonstrated high performance cells engaging creative ideas. 3. Bio (inspired) Materials for LIBs: Mussel- and Diatom-inspired approaches are useful in addressing various battery issues. 4. Graphene Electrodes for Capacitors: Capacitors with high energy and power densities were developed via graphene and its derivatives. 5. Graphene Composites for Fuel Cell Electrodes: Graphene composite as an effective oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst for PEMFCs
