Welcome to the Robotics Laboratory. Founded in 1995, the Lab is located in the School of Mechanical Engineering at kyung-nam University.

Our current research activities focus on all aspects of movement: from the coordination and learning of natural motions, with applications to movement generation for industrial robots and characters , to vision-based tracking of human movement, the segmentation of complex movements, recognition of gestures, medical imaging

The unifying thread in our approach to these problems is the use of physics-based models: by constructing computational models of varying levels of sophistication for, e.g., robots, humans, and the environments that they function in, our hope is to develop more accurate, reliable, and effiicent algorithms for movement generation, analysis, and recognition. Our research draws heavily upon tools from a broad range of disciplines, from mathematical systems theory and methods of differential geometry and Lie groups, to computational geometry, theory of algorithms, and human motor control. We invite you to browse these pages, and to contact us for further information.
