Our research focuses on computational and experimental mechanics to investigate nonlinear structural behaviors at various time and length scales. For instance, failure may occur in micro seconds due to impact loading, which leads to microbranching and fragmentation phenomena. Damage can be accumulated over several years due to cyclic loading, which results in fatigue failure. The fundamental goal of such research is to advance state-of-art science and technology and to provide better life to our community.
