Mechanobiology and Soft Material Laboratory at Yonsei University seeks to understand how mechanical environments play a role in determining structures and functions of biological systems such as cells and tissues.
Our research interests primarily lie in interdisciplinary mechanobiology at the multiscales, including protein-protein binding, cell’s response to mechanical stimulation, cell-cell coupling, cell-ECM interactions.
Principles revealed from these studies are applied to design biomechanical devices which are useful in tissue engineering, drug delivery, bio-inspired robot, and biosensors.
