Welcome to EEFL
The Energy and Environmental Flow Laboratory is seeking to open new doors to fluid dynamics research using innovative diagnostic tools. We conduct research on diverse topics ranging from fundamental turbulent flows to applications in a variety of industries, such as gas turbines, aircraft and automotive engines, and air pollution. Utilizing measurement techniques such as particle image velocimetry (PIV), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and infrared thermography, we visualize and quantify fundamental fluid phenomena and apply this knowledge to new fields.
