Quantum many-body physics investigates the complex and highly entangled behavior of interacting (elementary or composite) particles at ultralow temperatures. Our group explores the intricate and unexpected manifestations of the resulting emergent phenomena when many quantum degrees of freedom cooperate, which go fundamentally beyond those expected from the simple single-particle picture familiar from textbook scenarios.
