• Characterization of piezo- and ferroelectric materials
Studying the enhancement of ferroelectric/piezoelectric properties and elucidating relevant mechanisms.
Predicting potential ferroelectric materials with the help of density functional calculations and machine learning for various applications.
• Oxide materials
Enhancing piezoelectric and mechanical properties of nano-architectured oxide structure.
Studying ferroelectric properties and domain information of ferroelectric oxide materials. In particular, we focus on semiconductor applicaitons such as FEFET, FRAM.
• Dental research
Focusing on medical, especially dental applicaitons of piezoelectric materials.
Visualization of interesting phenomenon related to dental research using advanced atomic force microscopy.
• Imaging ionic materials
Visualization of lithium ion concentration & pathway in the battery materials including lithium ion conductor and lithium metal.
