Welcome to Memory and Cognition Laboratory!
Memory is key to human behaviour. Memory process allows humans to store newly learned information and recall that information later.
Then, how are the memory traces represented across the brain?
Can we read memories from the neural activity patterns?
The Memory and Cognition Laboratory investigates human cognitive functions focusing on memory processes. We are especially interested in the neural representations of memories, and apply the fundamental knowledge to the development of therapeutic interventions for memory-related mental disorders.
We use a number of methods including functional neuroimaging (fMRI) and brain stimulation (TMS) combined with behavioral approaches in human subjects.
