Research Interest
Our main research goal is to identify new molecular targets for drug discovery in autoimmune and chronic inflammatory disease areas. To elucidate novel functions and regulatory mechanisms of immune-modulating proteins, we are using a wide array of biochemical and cell biological approaches as well as mouse models. In addition, we are studying the interrelationship between the host immune system and the commensal microbiota and its influences on the metabolic diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer.
