The Smart Hybrid Manufacturing Laboratory (SHML), directed by Prof. Hae-Sung Yoon, focuses on Innovative Design & Manufacturing based on the philosophy of Manufacturing for Design (MFD). Our research and education cover issues in hybrid/smart manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, ultra-precision machining, micro/nano fabrication, 3D/4D printing, and smart materials. We aim to develop highly-flexible, effective, and scalable manufacturing processes to realize advanced functional products. We believe we can contribute to Manufacturing for the Future by creating new paradigms in Design & Manufacturing.
