Wireless Systems Laboratory was established in 2005 as Prof. Sunwoo Kim joined Hanyang University. The lab has been investigating various research problems on wireless communications and wireless positioning/localization. Especially, we have established a strong specialty in the wireless positioning technology, which is currently an essential component for the advanced 5G mobile networks, and unmanned autonomous vehicles. In 2017, our lab was awarded one of the premier government funding for 5G/unmanned vehicle research/education to establish 5G/Unmanned Vehicle Research Center(5G/UVRC) and now with about 10 faculty members from Hanyang, Seoul National University, and Ajou University, we are developing fundamental theories as well as practical applications on 5G/unmanned vehicles. We are also maintaining close collaborations with international researchers and various funding agencies worldwide which include MIT, Tsinghua University, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Chalmers University of Technology, and many others.
