| Welcome to Bioseparation Process Lab. Bioseparation process lab was established at the department of chemical engineering in Hanyang University in 2004. Our research has been focused on the development of a continuous separation or purification process for the production of biochemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals. The processes of main interest include a simulated moving bed, a carousel, or other continuous chromatography processes. In addition to the engineering applications, our lab is interested in the fundamental studies on adsorption phenomena, protein aggregation, and protein refolding. For these works, we accomplish a series of well-organized experiments, detailed rate-model simulations, overall process optimization, and scale-up of the developed process.
