Smart materials are stmuli-responsive materials that change their structure, dimension, and interactions in response to external stimuli, such as pH, temperature, light, mechanical force, and electric or magnetic field. These materials have received a great deal of attention because of their fascinating characteristics, e.g. adjustability of response based on environmental conditions.
We are focusing on the study on the development of new types of smart materials including bio/ecoresorbable materials and their applications in a variety of fields, such as smart fluids, multi-functional sensors, wearable devices, etc.
